Funeral services for Delbert Wayne Dollar, 78, of Big Sandy will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 20, 2015, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Pastor Danny Trimble and Bro. David Thornton officiating. Interment will be in Hoover Cemetery in Upshur County. Mr. Dollar passed away Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Dollar was born July 23, 1936 in Memphis, TX to Odis Benton and Lila Mae Brock Dollar. He was retired from General Motors Assembly Plant in Arlington and was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Big Sandy. He is survived by his son, James Michael Shannon of Big Sandy; daughter, Debra Sue Dollar of Big Sandy; brother, Boyd Dollar of Fort Worth; sister, Sue Bryant of Aledo, TX; grandchildren, James Michael Shannon II, and Michael James Shannon and wife, Lupita; and four great-grandchildren, Dianela, Frida, Sherry and Michael, Jr. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 20, 2015 at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Family request memorial may be made to the New Hope Baptist Church.
