David Thomas Bailey

David Thomas Bailey, 63, of Big Sandy passed away on February 2, 2015, in Big Sandy. He was born on March 19, 1951, in Quanteo, Virginia to Melvin Bailey and Mary Truett. Mr. Bailey married Deborah Platek in 1983 and was a self employed truck driver. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Bailey of Big Sandy; daughter, Amy Shaw and husband, Alex of Weatherford; brother, Gary Bailey of Red Oak, Texas; sister, Jackie Garcia of Red Oak, Texas; grandchildren, Aubrey Matthews and husband, Billy Chancey, Seth Gillentine, Isaiah Shaw, Joseph Shaw and one great grandchild, Paisley Chancey. Mr. Bailey was preceded in death by his parents; son, Wayne Bailey; daughter, Danette Gillentine; brother, Calvin, Alvin, Don and Dennis Bailey and one sister, Joyce Bailey. Cremation arrangements were under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
