David Marvin Snider

Services for David Marvin Snider, 88, of Gilmer will be held 10:00 A.M, Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater with Bro. Roger Gage and Bro. James Pierce officiating. Burial will follow at Laurel Oaks Cemetery in Mesquite under the direction off Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mr. Snider passed away on Monday, January 02, 2012 in Gilmer. He was born on May 9, 1923, in Upshur County to John Wayne and Rosie Lee Cartie Snider. Mr. Snider served in the U. S. Army Air Corps and worked as an assembly line worker for Ford Motor Company until his retirement. He was a member of Clarksville City Baptist Church. Mr. Snider married Lila Rose Hill in 2002 and she survives him. He is also survived by sons, Marvin Snider of Dallas, Jerry Snider of Wylie; sister, Minnie Holmes of Hawkins; 2 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 3 step grandchildren and 6 step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary Frances Oliver Snider in 2000 and 2 grandchildren.
