Graveside services for David Lynn Cook, Sr., 59, of Brownsboro, Texas will be Thursday, December 11, 2014 at Wood-Verner Cemetery in Smith County at 11:00 A.M. with Brother Vernen Edwards officiating. David passed on Monday, December 8, 2014 in Tyler. Services are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater, Texas. David Lynn Cook was born to Paul Ray and Martha Haralson Cook on November 21, 1955 in Tyler, Texas. He held a PhD in Psychology and worked as a Prison Counselor for Tennessee Colony Prison. Mr. Cook was also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and served 10 years attaining the rank of Master Sergeant. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Darlene Cook; sons, David Lynn Cook, Jr. of Winfield, Ks, and Johnathan Cook and wife Melissa of Newport News, Va.; daughter, Tanya Wolford and husband Darian of Brownsboro; brother Gregory Dean Cook of Tyler and sister, Barbara Fennis of Florida; eight grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Mr. Cook is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Bob Cook.
