David Bryon Sutton, 72, of Holly Lake Ranch and Big Sandy, Texas passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday afternoon, October 30, 2022.
A funeral service and celebration of life will be held at Holly Tree Bible Church (formerly Holly Tree Chapel) on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at 1:00 pm with interment to follow at Holly Tree Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 12:30 pm.
David was born to Frank and Doreen Sutton in Ft. Worth, TX on July 18, 1950. He and Risa Whitaker married on February 18, 1978. They moved to Holly Lake Ranch in 1983 where they raised their family and David built homes for Holly Lake area residents. David was an artist and graduated from TCU with a master’s in fine arts in 1975. He loved working with people and helping create beautiful homes and only recently retired. David also loved caring for his family, pets, and any “critters” that happened by.
David is preceded by his son Chad Forrest Sutton; mother Doreen Davis Sutton; father Frank E. Sutton; and brother Michael Sutton.
David is survived by his wife of 44 years, Risa; his son Luke Rivers Sutton and wife Carrie Elizabeth and granddaughter Charlotte Rivers Sutton. Also, many cousins and family including his dear uncle Chuck Davis and his wife Cheryl of Holly Lake Ranch.
David cared deeply for his family and felt especially blessed by his granddaughter Charlie (Charlotte). He had many friends and people he worked with through the years and enjoyed each and every one.
