Dave R. West, Sr. Gladewater -- Memorial services for Dave R. West, Sr., 71, of Gladewater, will be held on Monday, July 30, 2012, at 2 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Larry W. Osborne officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. Born on December 25, 1940, in Mineola, Texas, he died on Thursday, July 26, 2012. He was a retired welder and a Baptist. He is survived by his wife, Lottie West of Gladewater; 1 son, Dave Ray West, Jr. of Gilmer; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Mitzi and Robert Easley of Quitman and Cassandra and David Clark of Wylie; 6 grandchildren, Jennifer Moore, James Moore, Alena Markins, Dave West, III, Kevin West, and Brian West; 1 great-granddaughter, Chloe West; 1 brother and sister-in-law, James and Mary West of Mineola; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Durwood and Catherine West; son, Kenneth West; daughter, Cathryn Darwin; and sister, Alice Craig. No formal visitation is scheduled.
