Daniel MacArthur Sheridan

Services for Daniel MacArthur Sheridan, 71, of Winona, will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at 10 A.M. at Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Brother Teddy Sorrells and Brother John Daniel Cutler officiating. Burial will be at 3 P.M. at New Hope Cemetery near DeKalb in Bowie County. Born on July 31, 1942, in Bowie County, Texas , he died on Sunday, April 14, 2013. He was a retired welder supervisor for LeTourneau. He, in addition, was very active in local FFA activities. He was a member of Caney Creek Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Jo Sheridan of Gladewater; son and daughter-in-law, J.R. and Tressie Sheridan of Gladewater; daughter and son-in-law, Tami and Ernie Aills of Gilmer; 5 grandchildren, Crystal Merritt, Meagan Williams, J.D. Sheridan, Jordan Sheridan, and JoDee Sheridan; 7 great-grandchildren; 4 brothers, Harold Sheridan, J.C. Sheridan, Jimmy Sheridan, and Billy Jack Sheridan; 2 sisters, Bea Nix and Wanda Carter; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Bessie Sheridan; grandson, Christopher Daniel Sheridan; and nine siblings. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. on Tuesday, April 16, 2013, at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
