Coleman Stanfield

Funeral services for Coleman Stanfield, 77, of Hawkins will be 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 10, 2013, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Hawkins with Bro. Larry Taylor officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins. Mr. Stanfield passed away Monday, May 6, 2013 in a Tyler hospice. Mr. Stanfield was born June 20, 1935 in Spencerville, OK to Glen and Ella Young Stanfield. He was a retired school superintendent having served 23 years as a superintendent, had lived in Hawkins since 1982 and was a member of the Holly Brook Baptist Church. In addition, he was member of the Lions Club and Masonic Lodge. He is survived by his wife, Betty Stanfield of Hawkins; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Sheila Stanfield of Hedley, TX; sister, Ella Jones of TX; two grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mr. Stanfield is preceded in death by his parents and brother; J.D. Stanfield. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time Friday, May 10, 2013 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Hawkins.
