Cody Lynn Caffey

Services for Cody Lynn Caffey, 26, of Winnsboro will be held 10:00 A.M, Saturday, December 10, 2011, at First Baptist Church-Gilmer with Reverend Madison Caffey officiating. Burial will follow at Meadowbrook Cemetery in Paris, Texas at 2:00 P.M. under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mr. Caffey passed away on Wednesday, December 7, 2011 in Wood County. Cody was born on May 17, 1985 in Longview, Texas to Perry Caffey and Cheryl Killebrew. He graduated from Harmony High School in 2004 and served two tours of duty in Iraq 2004-2009 in the U. S. Army. Cody was an operator for Schlumberger Oil Services. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Cheryl and Anthony Killebrew of Princeton; father, Perry Sylvester Caffey of Lake O" The Pines; stepmother, Lynn Caffey of Gilmer; grandparents, Freddie and Shirley Risinger of Winnsboro; great grandmother, Maggie Lee Risinger; aunt, Cindy Pickitt of Gilmer; brother Dexter Sylvester Caffey of Gilmer; sisters, Brittany Nicole Hawkins of Gilmer, Desiree Caffey of Gilmer, Stormey Caffey of Gilmer; niece, Payetin McCellon of Gilmer; cousins, Joe Don Brown, Cameron Scott Pickitt; great uncles, Tom Selmon and Billy and wife Sunny Selmon; great uncle, Kenneth and wife, Peggy Risinger, great aunt, Linda Vickers; step children, Sarah and Collin Smith; plus numerous members of the Caffey family. Pallbearers are, Joe Don Brown, Cameron Scott Pickitt, Darren Caffey, Thomas Lawence, Frankie Himes, Jr., Brett Fuller. Cody was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sylvester and Carol Caffey and aunt, Debra Kay Risinger. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 9, from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
