Funeral service for Clyde Taylor Johnson, Jr., 83, of Holly Lake Ranch will be 1:00 p.m., Saturday, August 20, 2016, at the First United Methodist Church with Dr. Allison Byerley and Reverend Henry Radde officiating. Interment will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 22, 2016 in the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery in Dallas. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins. Mr. Johnson passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at his residence. Mr. Johnson was born February 14, 1933, in Hillsboro to Clyde Taylor and Florence Gee Johnson, Sr. After college Clyde worked at a trust department at Republic National Bank in Dallas. He then went to work for Hanes Hosiery as a product manager. After retiring from Hanes, he ran his own businesses for several years and finally retired from the Town of Addison, TX as a Purchasing Manager. Clyde and Martha Sue moved to Holly Lake Ranch from Dallas in 2001 where he served on the Holly Lake Board for one year. Clyde also served on the Administrative Council of the Hawkins FUMC and was a veteran of the United States Army. He is survived by his wife, Martha Sue Johnson of Holly Lake Ranch; sons, Clyde Taylor Johnson, III of Holly Lake Ranch and Edward Anthony Johnson and wife, Leslie of Plano; daughter, Laura Johnson Radde and husband, Eric Neal of Holly Lake Ranch; sisters, Hilda Clark of Plano and Sylvia Izon and husband, Mike of Las Cruces, NM; grandchildren, Emilie Diane Johnson and Samuel Taylor Radde. Clyde is preceded in death by his sister, Gwen Taylor and two grandchildren, Oliver Johnson born January 28, 2011 and Ivan Anthony Johnson January 12, 2012. Pallbearers will be Clyde "Taylor" Johnson, III, Edward Anthony Johnson, Eric Neal Radde, Samuel Taylor Radde, Tommy Baxter and Darrell Sheridan. No formal visitation is scheduled.
