Clyde Davidson

Funeral service for Clyde Davidson, 79, of Gilmer will be held on Monday, August 29, 2016, at 12:00 noon, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer with Reverend David Sanders officiating. Interment will be in the Cherokee Cemetery in Upshur County. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mr. Davidson passed away Friday, August 26, 2016 at a Gilmer nursing home. Mr. Davidson was born on July 27, 1937, in Gilmer, Texas, to Thomas Abraham and Ruby Marie Gipson Davidson. He was retired from Lone Star Steel as a Millwright, a lifetime residence of Gilmer, veteran of the United States Army and a member of the First Assembly of God Church. Mr. Davidson like to fish, was a devout Christian and loved his family and his church. He is survived by his wife, Donna Davidson of Gilmer; son, Robert Davidson; daughters, Patricia Baca and husband, Jesus of Gilmer and Kristi Keller and husband, David of League City; brother, Paul Davidson and wife, Lynda of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Amy Jordan, Dillan Clark and Kollin Keller; three great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Mr. Davidson was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Maurice Davidson. Pallbearers will be David Keller, Kollin Keller, Dillan Clark, Jesus Baca, Gary Eldridge and Shane Harrell. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, Monday, August 29, 2016 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer.
