Claudine Daughdrill

Services for Claudine Daughdrill, 87, of Gladewater will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2017, at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Croley Funeral Home. Mrs. Daughdrill passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017.

Claudine was born on January 21, 1931, in Louisiana to the late Sam and Annie Calhoun.
Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Charles Daughdrill, Jr., of Gladewater; two grandchildren Heather Nicole Fultz and Stacie Renee Cameron; Five great grandchildren; many wonderful nieces and nephews and her family in faith at First Baptist Church in Gladewater, Texas, where she was an active member for many years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Charles Albert Daughdrill, Sr., her parents, three brothers and two sisters.

For those of you who knew my Nanny, you would know that I could talk all day & never tell you all the good things about her. If I had to pick just one thing that I would want to share about her, it would be this... I don't believe that another person on this earth EVER loved as much as Claudine Calhoun Daughdrill.. She loved so honestly, deeply, & thoroughly that it was hard for most of us normal people to always understand where she was coming from. Looking back, I know without a doubt how much I was blessed... how much I took for granted... & just who I'd like to follow as an example in life.. Nanny, if you could hear me now.. please just know that you have left a large impression on this world.. an impression that would be hard to live up to. You will be remembered, celebrated & cherished always!
