Memorial service for Mr. Charley Lewis Hewitt, 79 of Pritchett, TX will be held 6:00 P.M. Thursday, August 9, 2018 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer, TX. with Bro. David Thornton officiating, family will receive friends Thursday, August 9, 2018 at 5:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. Mr. Hewitt passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018 in Longview, TX.

Lewis was born in Upshur County on August 8, 1938 to the late Charley Dan and Mary Etta (Vaughn) Hewitt. Mr. Hewitt was a hard working businessman and the owner of Hewitt’s Farm Supply where he worked until his retirement. He was also a proud veteran in the United States Army and of the Christian faith. Mr. Lewis was also a member of the Bethesda Masonic Lodge #142 A.F. & A.M.

Mr. Hewitt is survived by his wife, Lou Hewitt of Pritchett; son, Scott Hewitt of Pritchett; daughter, Angie Hewitt of Dallas; sisters, Doris Thomas and husband, Pete of Pritchett, Frances Williams of Dallas; and grandchildren, Courtney DeBord and husband, Josh, and Conner Hewitt.

He is preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Charlene Miller.
