Charles Wesley Mason

Charles Wesley Mason, 80, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022 in Tyler, TX. Charles was born on September 18, 1942 in Greenville, TX to Cecil and Elvie Mason.

Charles moved to Garland, TX as a child and lived there for 43 years. In 1962 Charles joined the US Navy and served 3 years and would always say with pride that he only got seasick once from the time he got on the ship until he got out of the Navy. He met the love of his life Judy Grimes in 1964 and married her in 1968. They lived a happy life together where they built not only a family but a business later in life. Charles worked at TXI from 1969 to 1986. In 1986 he moved with his family to Hawkins, TX where he owned an appliance and AC repair business. Charles leaves behind so many cherished memories. He will be remembered by all who had the privilege to know him.

Charles is survived by his beloved wife, Judy K Mason; daughters, Stacy Burroughs and husband Matt, and Shelly Maberry and husband Glyn; son Eddie Mason; sister, Joyce Hall; grandchildren, Michael Macaluso, Christopher Macaluso and wife Becca, Christian Burroughs and Emery Maberry; great-grandchildren, Madelyn Macaluso, Ryder Burroughs and Weston Burroughs.

Charles is preceded in death by his parents, Cecil and Elvie Mason; brother, Cecil R. Mason and sister, Janette Kingham.

Services for Charles will be held at the chapel of Croley Funeral Home in Hawkins, TX on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at 2 o’clock in the afternoon with a visitation starting just prior at 1 o’clock.
