Graveside services for Charles Rhea Hare, 79, of Longview, former longtime resident of the Dallas area will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 10, 2021, at the Gladewater Memorial Park with burial following services under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. Charles passed away Monday, March 8, 2021, in Longview.

Charles was born November 2, 1941, in Elida, New Mexico to the late Floyd Austin Hare and Verna Thurman Hare. He was an independent Trim Contractor and was a master in his trade; working on luxury homes doing the detail and finish work. Charles was a cowboy and enjoyed being outdoors spending time with his family. He enjoyed hunting and fishing as well. Charles will not soon be forgotten by all the loving family and friends he leaves behind.

Charles is survived by his wife Vivian Hare; children Preston Hare and wife Stacy, Holly Brem and husband Gerry and Robin Seale; sisters Velta Case and Elaine Martin; seven grandchildren Tiffany Tubbs, Codie Seale, Clint Brem, Kendall Brem, Chris Hare, Casey Hare and Colton Hare; four great grandchildren as well as many other loving family members and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, son Cody Hare and granddaughter Jessica Summer.

The family would like to thank the staff of Arabella of Longview Memory Care Unit and Compass Hospice for all the loving care and support they provided Charles and his family.
