Charles Ray Black Gladewater -- Services for Charles Ray Black, 74, of Big Sandy, will be held on Friday, March 23, 2012, at 1 P.M. at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater. Burial will be in Gladewater Memorial Park. Born on August 15, 1937, in Canton, Texas, he died on Monday, March 19, 2012. He was a retired coach/teacher/contractor. He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Cathy and Alan Jones of Hawkins; Cindy and David Martin of Lindale; Janet and Peter Gordon of Boca Raton, Florida; and Julie Black of Frankston; son and daughter-in-law, Carl and Kelley Black of Round Rock; 11 grandchildren; brother, Randall Black of Tyler; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Barbara Black, and siblings. His friendliness, hospitality, and generosity will be greatly missed by all who knew him. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. on Thursday, March 22, 2012, at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
