Charles Omer Caldwell, Sr.

Graveside services for Charles Omer Caldwell, Sr., 81 of Gilmer will be held at a later date in the Chillicothe City Cemetery in Chillicothe, Illinois. Local arrangements area under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mr. Caldwell passed away Monday, May 24, 2010 at his residence. Mr. Caldwell was born October 11, 1928 in Colfax, North Dakota to John Marvin and Leona Regina Caldwell. He was a retired Millwright, veteran of the Army Air Corp in World War II, had lived most of his life between the Texas and Illinois, and was a member of the Church of Christ. He is survived by his son: Charles Omer Caldwell, Jr. of Gilmer; daughter: Sherry Lynn Dalton of East Peoria, Illinois; 12 - grandchildren and 16 - great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife Opal Caldwell.
