Charles L. Harris

Graveside service for Charles L. Harris 73, of Winnsboro will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 23, 2014, at Hopewell Cemetery in Upshur County. Interment will be in the Hopewell Cemetery in Upshur County. Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mr. Harris passed away Friday, December 19, 2014 in a Tyler hospital. Mr. Harris was born November 12, 1941 in Daingerfield to Charles Eschol and Evelyn Miller Harris. He was a retired Assembly Man with General Motors, had lived in Winnsboro since 1993 and a member of the Church of Christ faith. He is survived by his wife, Gloria Harris of Winnsboro; son, Charles Dewayne Harris of Lewisville, TX; three grandchildren, Jerry Ray Lopez, Bradley M. Lopez and Ashley Haven Harris. Mr. Harris is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Charlotte K. Harris; brother, Jerry Lamar Harris. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, Tuesday, December 22, 2014 before the service at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
