Celebration of Life services for Charles Edward Hagan, 86, of Longview will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 6, 2021 at the White Oak United Methodist Church in White Oak. Mr. Hagan passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2021, in Longview.
Charles was born in Kilbourne, Louisiana on January 29, 1935; and was raised in Oak Grove, Louisiana and has been a longtime resident of White Oak, Texas. He joined the Air Force March 12, 1952. Every place he was stationed he would have a day or two that he went AWOL, he always said they could not keep him from seeing the country side. His passion was God, his wife, family and country. He loved to travel as long as Momma was driving. They would wake us up all hours of the night and we never knew where we were going, we just had to get dressed and load up. Anytime you asked him how he was doing his response was always “Oh I’m dying and nobody gives a darn”.
He married Leoma Partain November 11, 1967 at the Courthouse in Odessa, Texas with their five children as witnesses to their commitment to each other. They spent 53 years together cherishing every moment.
Charles is survived by his children LaWanda Luna and husband Javier, Judy Henderson, Kathy Hagan, Jack Hagan and wife Vickie, Katinka Aldridge and Stanley Hagan; brother Leonard Partain; sister-in-law Pat Partain; grandchildren Louis Odle and wife Mindy, Charles Odle and wife Anine, Sabrina Presley, Tabitha Bodine and husband Chris, Samuel Lain, Carolyn Harris and Megan Weldon and husband Josh; 22 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren as well as many other loving family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his wife Leoma Partain Hagan, parents Charles and Ethal Hagan, his siblings Ben Hagan and wife Olivia, Mildred Hailey and husband Frank, Robert Hagan, Jimmy Hagan, eight half sisters and brothers, and two sons-in-law Joel Henderson and William Aldridge.
Those sending flowers can have them delivered to the White Oak United Methodist Church at 503 W. Center Street, White Oak, TX 75601 Saturday morning prior to service or in lieu of flowers memorials in Charles’ memory can be made to the church.
