Charles "Charlie" Edward Reel

Services for Charlie Reel, 73, of Gladewater will be Thursday, May 19, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater with Brother Earnest Hodge and Brother Jim Withers officiating. Burial will follow at Center Cemetery near Winona. Mr. Reel passed away on Sunday, May 15, 2016 in Longview. Mr. Reel was born August 8, 1942 in Angelina County, Texas to the late Edward Franklin Reel and Laura Mae Knight. He was retired from Longview Custom Fabricators where he was a supervisor. Mr. Reel was a longtime member of Grace Baptist Church. Charlie enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with family and friends. He also loved playing the guitar and was a member of a country and western band. Charlie will be missed by all the loving family and friends he leaves behind. He is survived by his wife of 55 years Vivian Reel of Gladewater; son Charles Michael Reel and fianc" Rita A. Khoury of Hallsville; three daughters and sons-in-law Pamela Reel of Gladewater, Teresa and Chris Tutt of Carrollton and Melissa and Donnie Jones of New Diana; sister Nelda Barlow of Shreveport; six grandchildren James Jones, Britney Zukowski, Skye Grace, Brooke Jordan, Blake Hudson and Trace Wolf; five great grandchildren Destiny Grace, Ella Saxon, Marley Chambers, Coy Hudson and Preston Jordan as well as many other loving family and friends. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
