Charlene Phillips

Memorial services for Charlene Phillips, 68, of Gilmer will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 25, 2010, at East Point Baptist Church with Reverend Pete Dugger officiating. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home of Gilmer. Mrs. Phillips passed away Friday, October 22, 2010, in a Longview nursing home. Mrs. Phillips was born May 23, 1942, in Wood County, Texas to James Edward and Callie Loraine Gore. She was a homemaker and a member of the East Point Baptist Church. She is survived by her sons: Jimmy Phillips of Mineola and Craig Phillips of Mineola; daughter and son-in-law: Vicki and Chris DeFur of Hawkins; brothers and sisters-in-law: Billy and Marjo Gore of Bullard and Ralph and Jean of Alba; dear friends: Charity Hebert of Quinlan, Burney Hinkle and Hinkle family of Dallas area; and 10 grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband: Vernon Phillips. Pallbearers will John DeFur, Danny Gore, William Hinkle, Gary Dickerson, Gary Richey, and John Hebert. There is no visitation scheduled.
