Charlene Maples Walker

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. at Croley Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 for Charlene Maples Walker, 75, of White Oak, Texas, with Brother Earnest Hodge officiating and interment to follow in Gladewater Memorial Park. Mrs. Walker passed away on Saturday, August, 15, 2015, in Pine Tree. Charlene Maples Walker was born in DeQueen, Arkansas, on June 11, 1940, to Charles and Lola Mae Maples. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She made a tremendous impact on the lives of young people and teenagers including her grandchildren. Her life"s greatest passion was to affect the lives of young people and teenagers. Mrs. Walker is survived by her husband, Jerald Walker; sons, Tim Thomas of Dallas, Jimmy DonThomas of Mexia and Tommy Walker of Ft. Worth; brother and sister-in-law, Don and Anna Kay Maples of Ovilla; granddaughter, Misti Urban of White Oak; sister-in-law, Patty Maples of San Saba; nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, James Maples. Serving as pallbearers will be Brad Thomas, Chris Thomas, Jimmy Don Thomas, Luke Walker, Marc Maples and Mike Maples.
