Cecil Gale Smith

Graveside services for Cecil Gale Smith, 45, of Gilmer will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, October 29, 2016, at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Upshur County under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer. Mr. Smith passed away Tuesday, October 25, 2016 in Dallas.

Mr. Smith was born on February 5, 1971, in Newport, Virginia, to Cecil Ferrel Smith and Verbeth Joy Wren. He was a supervisor at Knight’s Rig and Tank Cleaning and a Baptist.

He is survived by his father, Cecil Ferrell Smith; wife, Danna Smith; daughter, Cherokee S. Smith; grandson, Adrian Burdue; son, Cecil “ Harley” Smith; daughter, Kaylin L. Smith; sons, Jack D. Smith and Seth A. Smith; sisters, Penny Johnson and her husband, Roger of Lewisville, Texas, Laddie Hochstetler and her husband, Ron of Big Sandy, Texas, Mary Sutton and her husband, Rodney of Arlington, Texas; brother, Kelly smith of Gilmer, Texas; ten nieces and nephews and eleven great nieces and nephews.

Mr. Smith was preceded in death by his mother, Verbeth Joy Smith.
