Carolyn Fenton Gladewater " Services for Carolyn Fenton, 67, of Gladewater, will be held on Monday, October 10, 2011, at 10 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church with Reverend Dick Dobbins and Reverend Welton Jones officiating. Burial will be in Gladewater Memorial Park. Born on November 9, 1943, in Longview, Texas, she entered into eternal rest on Friday, October 7, 2011. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in education from East Texas State University, now Texas A&M at Commerce, and her Master of Arts degree from Stephen F. Austin University. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church and the Ages and Stages Sunday School Class. She was a Gladewater Independent School District retired teacher, having taught in the GISD for 30 years. She is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Todd and Rebecca Fenton of Gilmer and David and Mandy Fenton of Sulphur Springs; 4 grandchildren, Emma Kate Fenton, Carson Richard Fenton, Ava Elizabeth Fenton, and Addy Michelle Fenton; and 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Don and Gail Keasler of Montgomery and Charles and Charlotte Keasler of McKinney; brother-in-law, Herman Fenton, Jr. and spouse, Carline of Longview; 3 sisters-in-law, Nelwyn McGrede and Roy of Longview; Juanita and Bill Kologey of Garland; and Marie and Ray Holdcroft of Royse City; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hughey C. and Dorothy Keasler, and her husband, Richard Fenton. Pallbearers will be Harry Haggard, Joe Riley Jones, Gary Hetherington, Larry Aaron, Steve Keasler, and Oliver Sorrells. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Waters, Gene King, Charles Hopson, and Scotty Barber. If so desired, memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 1167, Gladewater, Texas 75647. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. on Sunday, October 9, 2011, at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
