Carol “Kerri” Nichols passed away in Longview, Tx on July, 30, 2023. She was born in Gladewater, Tx to Liston and Lucy Knight, and was the youngest of eight children.
Kerri was an incredible woman with a huge heart whom enjoyed spending time with her family as well as her many pets that she often referred to as her “kiddos.”
She was preceded in death by her parents, six siblings, her late husband Troy D. Sellars, and her stepdaughter, Sumer Nichols.
Kerri was survived by her husband, James Nichols of White Oak; daughter, Juli Orms, of Houston; stepdaughter Tiffany Nichols of Liberty City; three grandchildren, Sumer, Sailor, and Strider; two stepsons, Jason and Steve Sellers of Nashville; two granddaughters and a grandson also of Nashville; her sister Jayne Mathis of Big Sandy; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers the family would like to honor Kerri by having donations made in her name to Frankie’s Friends, a non-profit foundation dedicated to finding cures and saving pets with cancer and other life threatening conditions.
