Carol Ann Ledbetter Smith

Funeral services for Carol Ann Ledbetter Smith, 72, of Gladewater will be Saturday, April 14, 2018, at 2:00 p.m., at the Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gladewater. Interment will follow at the Kilgore Cemetery. Mrs. Smith passed away Sunday, April 8, 2018, in Longview.

Carol was born October 28, 1945 in Vina, Alabama to the late John and Marie Ledbetter. She enjoyed fishing, dancing and spending time with family and friends. Carol lived life to the fullest even though she was notoriously late to just about everything. Carol was a hardworking, loyal, compassionate and generous Christian lady. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Smith even acted as a surrogate mother to her nephews Gary, Terry, Alan and Bobby after their mother passed away. Carol will be truly missed by all the loving family and friends she leaves behind.

She is survived by her son Jimmy Youngblood, Jr.; three daughters Lisa Wright, Sheri Youngblood and Deneva Zamora; a sister Wanda Pilcher; ten grandchildren Amber, Brandi, Carly, Dillon, Sammy Joe, Savannah, Kaylan, Hailey, Alex and Sydney; great grandchild Reese as well as many other loving family and friends.

Mrs. Smith is preceded in death by her husband Paul Edward Smith, two brothers David Ledbetter and Don Ledbetter and her parents.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
