Carla Sue Blackstone Kizziah

Mrs. Carla Sue Blackstone Kizziah, passed away on Tuesday, September 22, 2020 in Longview. Carla was born in Upshur County on November 14, 1943 to the late Ewell Edward Blackstone and Annie Lee Dacus Blackstone. She was a devoted homemaker and attended the Shady Grove Church of Christ. She married Mr. Thomas Kizziah in Rockwall, Texas on May 27, 1986. Carla loved flower gardening researching genealogy and family history, for her family and for many families of Upshur County. Her quick wit, joyful sense of humor, and infectious laugh, ensured she never met a stranger, and will be greatly missed by those that called her friend. She was a cherished wife, mother, “Nanu”, “Sue Sue”, “Aunt Sudie”, “Mamoose” to her beloved family she leaves to remember her always.

She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Thomas Kizziah of Gilmer; daughter, Renee Singleton and husband Willy of Diana, Michelle Faulkner and husband Chris of White Oak; son, James “Jamie” Fuller of Gilmer; sister, Charlotte Spencer of Gilmer; seven grandchildren, Aaron Gage, Tristan Gage, Tori Singleton, Cade Gilbreath, Madison Gilbreath, Haley Jones, Clay Fuller; three great-grandchildren, Emmylou Gage, Annabeth Gage, Robbie Smith.
She is preceded in death by her parents; and infant sister, Gladys Blackstone.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Friday, September 25, 2020 at Croley Funeral Home of Gilmer. Graveside services and interment will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at Shady Grove Cemetery in Upshur County, Mr. Johnny Coleman officiating. Serving as pallbearers are Aaron Gage, Tristan Gage, Simon Vale, Derrik Nash, Clint Guin, Keith Tibbits; honorary pallbearers, Cade Gilbreath Jared Albright, Allen Pruitt, and Darwin Nash.
