Celebration of Life services for Cari Lynn Cranfill, 50, of Gladewater will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 28, 2020, at New Beginnings Baptist Church in Spring Hill with Pastor Todd Kaunitz officiating. Interment will follow at Gladewater Memorial Park. Ms. Cranfill will be available for viewing Sunday evening from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Cari passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020, in Longview.

Cari was born December 2, 1970 in Dallas, Texas to Leslie Garnett Cranfill and Marian F. Wafer. She was a licensed vocational nurse (LVN) and worked in several different specialties, but most recently in Home Health Care. She was a graduate of North Mesquite High School, the Class of 1988, where she was a Pacesetter. She attended Trinity Valley Community College and always loved to share stories of her time spent on their drill team, The Cardettes. Cari enjoyed 80’s music, the Dallas Cowboys, Oklahoma Sooners and spending time with her family and friends. Above all she loved her family, especially her children. Cari had an eclectic personality; being described as a diva and was proud of it. She was a fighter having survived cancer three separate times. Cari will not soon be forgotten by all the loving family and friends she leaves behind.

Cari is survived by her three children Daylee Rodgers and husband Thomas, Dacie Dyess and Kohl Sirmans; mother Marian Wafer; sister Christie Barnett and husband Tim; significant other Michael Neely; nephew Grayson Barnett; niece Kayla Berry and husband Sean; great niece Olivia Berry.

She is preceded in death by her father Leslie Garnett Cranfill, grandparents Glenn and Linnie Hutton and Col. Niven and Jean Cranfill, and nephew Hunter Barnett.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made in Cari’s memory to the Texas Oncology-Longview Cancer Center at 1300 N. Fourth St., Longview, TX 75601.
