Brent N. Lindsey

Brent was born July 2, 1947, in Henderson, Texas, to Oliver Brown and Roselyn Griser Lindsey. He was a graduate of Lovington New Mexico High School and then attended Texas Tech University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business.
After completing his degree, he was employed with an insurance company in Dallas, TX, for several years. In the late 1970’s, Brent moved to Houston, TX, where he completed his CPA certification and was employed as a Comptroller for several companies. In the mid 1990’s, he moved to St. Pete Beach, FL, where he worked for Grubbs-Ellis selling commercial real estate until his retirement.
Brent loved hunting, fishing, scuba diving, riding motorcycles and spending time with family and lifelong friends. He really enjoyed being a Commercial Real Estate Broker.
He was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by two brothers, Jan A. Lindsey, and wife, Marsha, of Lake St. Louis, MO, Larry Lindsey, Sr., and wife, Sheryl, of Gilmer, TX; four nephews, Larry Lindsey, Jr., James Lindsey, Alan Scott Lindsey, Scott Christopher Lindsey; and two nieces, MeLisa Williams and Michell Beals.
Funeral services for Brent will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, July 14, 2019, at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer, with reverend Matthew Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Kelsey Cemetery.
Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Larry Lindsey, Sr., Larry Lindsey, Jr., Alan Scott Lindsey, James Lindsey and Jan Lindsey.
