Services for Brent Eric Young, 44, of Gladewater will be held on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Crossroads Community Church in Longview. Pastors Bo Bolding and J.D. Cutler will be officiating. Interment will follow at Gladewater Memorial Park. Brent was born on June 26, 1967, in Gladewater, Texas, to Robert and Shirley Young. Brent was a devoted husband and father and took great joy in his new role as a grandfather. He was supervisor for Vertex and he owned Precision Water Cut Service in White Oak. He was an avid hunter and angler. He was a hard worker and always there to help a friend in need. He passed from this life on June 14, 2012, and is greatly missed. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Nicole Thomas Young, his daughter and son-in-law, Lauren and Dillon Burks, and his son, Cash Robert Young, all of Gladewater. Other survivors include his mother, Shirley Young of Gladewater, brother, Royce Young, of Gladewater, sister and brother-in-law, Stacey and Keith Akin of Gladewater, as well as many nieces, nephews, and countless family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Young. He was joined in heaven by his precious granddaughter, Kennedi Rose Burks. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Brent Eric Young Memorial Fund at Texas Bank and Trust. The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm on Monday, June 18, 2012 at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
