Brenda Ann Scheid

Services for Brenda Ann Scheid, 52, of Gilmer, will be held 10:00 A.M., Monday, October 15, 2012, at Gilmer Church of Christ with Jeremy Vass officiating under the direction of Croley Funeral Home of Gilmer. Mrs. Scheid passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2012, Longview. She was born on September 1, 1960, in Cuba City, Wisconsin, to George Edward and Dorothy Mae Tranel Wagner. Brenda was a Rural Mail Carrier for the U. S. Post Office in Longview and a member of the Gilmer Church of Christ. She was a loving wife and mother, loved to make others laugh, was always eager to do for others. Brenda loved to cook for her family and she especially liked to have pumpkin pie and chocolate. Mrs. Scheid is survived by her husband, Ken Scheid of Gilmer; two sons, Joe Scheid of Longview and Phillip Scheid of Tyler; brother, Steve "Porter" Wagner (Chris) of Dickeyville, Wisconsin, sisters, Bernedette Emler (Sam) of Potosi, Wisconsin, Diane Berntgen (Bob) of Cassville, Wisconsin; stepbrothers, Bob Splinter (Jean McDonald) of Dubuque,Iowa, Chuck Splinter (Doris) of East Dubuque,Ill., Cliff Splinter (Jan) of East Dubuque, Ill.; stepsister, Diane Fasselius of Peosta, Iowa and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends and family at the funeral home on Sunday, October 14, 2012, from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M.
