In the mid-1990s, she and her husband moved to Gladewater to be close to their daughter Janet. Bonnie and Herbert were married for 67 wonderful years, until his death last year. She and Herbert had been retired for more than 20 years.
In addition to raising their three children, Bonnie was “mother” to numerous children in the neighborhood, and was a wonderful Aunt Bonnie to dozens of nieces and nephews.
She was a longtime, active member of Everett Street Baptist Church in Kennett, Missouri, until she and her husband moved to Gladewater in 1995. She is currently a member of First Baptist Church in Gladewater.
