Services for Bobby Lee Phillips III, 27, of Gladewater, will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2014, at 10 A.M. at Clarksville City Baptist Church with Reverend Greg Selman and Luke Kimbley officiating. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery. Born on August 27, 1986, in Dallas, Texas, to Bobby Phillips Jr. and Elizabeth Newton Phillips, he died on Monday, February 17, 2014. He was a high school graduate and a TSTC graduate, receiving his master Electrician with Instrumentation degree. He was employed with Turner Industries for the past five years. He was a member of the Clarksville City Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Amber Phillips of Gladewater; son, Zander Lee Phillips of Gladewater; mother-in-law, Sandra Kay Smith of Gladewater; daughter, Ma"Kayla Nikol Phillips of Gladewater; mother, Elizabeth Sherow of Henderson; step-dad, John Sherow of Henderson; father, Bobby Phillips, Jr. of Shreveport; paternal grandfather, Bobby Phillips, Sr. of Fredericksburg, VA.; maternal grandparents, Jesse and Carol Newton of Longview; sisters, Sabrina Marie Strang and husband Donald of Gladewater; Lynda Phillips of Longview; friend, Edgar of Longview; countless aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Joette Phillips. Pallbearers will be Mike Shaw, Steven Dubose, John Sherow, Donald Strang, Johnny Ray Mason, and Kegan Pirtle. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Newton, Chuck Woitas, James Newton, Blake Chandarlis, Zane Selman, Nick Woods. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. on Friday, February 21, 2014, at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater.
