Bobby John Lewis

Bobby John Lewis, 71, of Ore City, Texas passed away on April 19, 2022 in Longview, Texas. Bobby was born in Gilmer, Texas to Keith and Mildred Lewis. Bobby served in the United States Army in Vietnam before coming home to begin his career with heavy equipment, learning to run a dozer from CL Gray.
Bobby was known to enjoy a good conversation, he never met a stranger. He was an avid drag racer. Bobby belonged to the Vintage Racing Association at racetracks all over the United States.

Bobby is survived by his children, Nikki Lewis (Brian Berry), Joanie Wheeler (Jeff), Derek Lewis (Samantha), and Dana Lewis; brother, Billy Lewis (Ruth); grandchildren, Charlie Brock, Blaine Brock, Kyle Wheeler, Addison Lewis, Eleanor Lewis, Elizabeth Lewis; great-grandchild, Karter Brock; nephews, Greg Lewis and Brad Lewis.

Bobby is preceded in death by his parents Keith Lewis and Mildred Lewis.

Memorial donations can be made in Bobby’s memory to Texas Children’s Hospital.
