Bobby Joe Hubbard

Memorial services for Mr. Bobby Joe Hubbard, 79, of Gilmer, will be held 2:00 PM Friday, March 1, 2019, at New Beginnings Baptist Church in Gilmer with Mr. Chris Wigley officiating. Family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 PM prior to the service on Friday. Mr. Hubbard passed away on Saturday, February 23, 2019 in Longview.

Bobby was born July 8, 1939, in Gilmer, TX to Buford and Johnnie (LaGrone) Hubbard. He married Marlene Claire Vierra on May 9, 1959 in Hawaii and he worked as a boiler maker at the Pearl Harbor shipyard. Mr. Hubbard is a proud veteran in the United States Navy and is of the Catholic faith. He also enjoyed watching baseball, especially the Texas Rangers.

He is survived by his sons, Bobby Hubbard, Jr., Rodney Hubbard, Michael Hubbard, Lance Hubbard; daughter, Kammy Kuikahi; sister, Patsy Huffines; 21 grandchildren; and 29 great grandchildren.

Bobby is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Marlene Hubbard; and sisters, Claudie and Barbara.
