Bobby Rex Gage

Bobby Rex Gage of Gilmer passed away on February 15, 2025. He was born on June 18, 1944, in Gilmer to Monaque and Doris (Johnson) Gage.

Bobby dedicated 46 years of his life as a skilled carpenter, a profession that exemplified his hard work and craftsmanship. His commitment to his craft was evident in every project he undertook.

In addition to his professional accomplishments, Bobby was a man of many interests. He had a passion for softball and enjoyed collecting antiques, which often led him to unique treasures that he cherished. Bobby was also an enthusiastic baseball card collector, a hobby that brought him joy and connected him with fellow collectors. Beyond his hobbies, he treasured spending time with his family, creating lasting memories that they will forever hold dear.

Bobby is survived by his wife, Shirley Gage; children, Tina Leatherwood and husband Johnny, Monty Gage, stepdaughter, Gail Royal and husband Darrell, bonus son, Tully Flowers, bonus brother, Paul Lee; grandchildren, Monaka Rash, Tatem Flowers, Brittany Hancock, Charles Leatherwood, Daniel Royal and wife Nikki, Dalton Gage and wife Shelby, David Royal; 11 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild and one on the way; aunt, Mary Jo Gosdin; sisters, Betty Sperier and Brenda Hill, along with numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at Pritchett Church of Christ from 1-2PM with funeral service to follow at 2PM.
