Billy Wilburn McDowell

Graveside Services for Billy Wilburn McDowell, 75, of Big Sandy will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 10, 2020, at Gladewater Memorial Park under the direction of Croley Funeral Home of Gladewater. Mr. McDowell passed away Sunday, February 2, 2020, in Big Sandy.

Billy was born September 17, 1944 in Smith to the late Alvin Hall McDowell and Helen Cline McDowell. Mr. McDowell worked as a Lineman for many years. Billy enjoyed fishing, vacationing at the beach in Galveston and spending time with family and friends. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching football especially the Dallas Cowboys. Billy will not soon be forgotten by all the loving family and friends he leaves behind.

He is survived by his daughters Angela Wells, Priscilla Kratzmeyer, Sonya Kratzmeyer, Stephanie Day and Victoria Bamberg; sister Shirley McGlann; brother James McDowell; numerous grandchildren; two great grandchildren as well as many other loving family and friends.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents Alvin and Helen McDowell, wife Charlotte McDowell who passed away in 1984, sister Mary Sue Roberts and brothers Jessie Ray McDowell and Dean McDowell.
