Billy Wayne Archer

DIANA �Services for Billy W. Archer, 77 of Ore City will be at 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Grubbs-Loyd Chapel, in Diana, with Sam Martin and Madison Caffey officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. Interment will be at Ore City Cemetery. He passed away August 9, 2013, in Longview. Billy was born June 3, 1936 in Kensing, Texas to John Wayne & Leola V. Archer. He was retired from Bell Helicopter as a machinist and was a deacon at Southside Baptist Church. Billy is survived by his wife: Mary Ann Archer, son: Terry Dale Archer, daughters: Arita Rutledge, Anita Wilson and Vicki Ingerson, stepchildren: Garland Dale Pope, Jr., Waylon Pope, and Laurel Farquhar, brothers: Tommy Archer, Ronnie Archer and Gary Archer, and sister: Melba Browning. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Katheryn Songer, brother Tillman Archer, and his son-in-law Steve Wilson. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday, August 13, 2013, 1 to 3 P.M. at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana prior to the service.
