Billy Ray Hitt

On May 19, 2014, Billy Hitt of Tyler went home to be with his Lord and Savior. Billy was born August 9, 1940 in Tyler, Texas. He was a lifelong resident of Big Sandy, Texas and a member of Rosewood Baptist Church. A memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, May 24, 2014, at Rosewood Baptist Church with Bro. Charles Johnson officiating. Mr. Hitt was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Doris and Orval Letsinger. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Felicia "Sue" of Tyler; two sons, Stephen and wife, Dell of Big Sandy, Micheal and wife, Kelly of Arp; five daughters, Susan and husband, Bobby Rowland of Tyler; Myra and husband, Allen Harrison of Denton, Sherry and husband, Jon Ballenger of Big Sandy, Rhonda Samaniego of Naples, Carolyn and husband, Michael Watkins of Dallas, seventeen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers make donations to the Alzheimer"s Association, 4144 N. Central Expressway, Suite 750, Dallas, Texas 75204. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer.
