Mr. Billy Mark Turner, age 51, of Gladewater, passed away on Sunday, May 12, 2019 at a Longview hospital. Mark was born in Gladewater on February 4, 1968. He graduated from Gladewater High School in 1986, where he was first chair trombone in the school band. He then attended and graduated from Kilgore College with his associates degree in nursing. Mark joined the Gladewater volunteer fire department, at age 16, where he served his community on ambulance and fire calls. He worked in the emergency room and cath lab for Good Shepherd Medical Center and Longview Regional Medical Center, in addition to being a travel nurse. He enjoyed spending time with his children and family, reading, fishing, watching the Dallas Cowboys and Texas Longhorns football games. He had a caring heart, a goofy sense of humor, and a likeable personality.
He is survived by his mother, Carol Jeanette (Best) Spencer and step-father, Ed Spencer of Kilgore; his oldest children, Aaron Turner and wife Ivonne of Longview, Sarah Turner of Longview, their mother, Angie Turner of White Oak; his younger children, Caleb Turner, Caroline Turner, and their mother, Kelly Martin all of Houston; sisters, Leslye Rene` Albright and husband Ret. Lt. Col. Robert Albright of Gilmer, Glenda Logan of Gilmer; two grandsons, Christopher and Tobias; and numerous nieces and nephews.
