Billy James Justice

Billy James Justice, 83, of Longview, Texas, peacefully passed away on Monday, April 24, 2023, in Gilmer.  Graveside services for Billy will be at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 30, 2023, at Morris Cemetery in Upshur County with Bro. Joe Chase officiating.

Billy was born April 7, 1940, to the late Elmer Ray Justice and Katie Karl (Baker) Justice in Woodlake, California. He married Sharyl Sue Lynch and the enjoyed 59 years of marriage, prior to her passing last year.  His favorite pastime was woodworking, gardening, or doing any other sort of craft that allowed him to build with his hands. He also enjoyed playing and creating memories with his grandchildren.  He enjoyed spending time with Sharyl at one of their favorite beaches, Morro Bay. He enjoyed walking along the ocean waves and shopping in the beach-side shops.  Billy served as a Deacon in his local church congregation as well as helping in any way he could, wherever he lived.  He will be remembered as a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.  He will not soon be forgotten by those he leaves behind.

Those left to cherish his memory include his two children, Darin Justice and wife, Ruth Justice and Kimberly and her husband, Terry Johnson; four grandchildren, Megan Hendrix, Micah Gilbert, Lauren Boonstra and Nathan Johnson; six great-grandchildren, Caroline Hendrix, Kiyler Korzeniewski, Keyli Korzeniewski, Rosalyn Farnham, Jacquelyn Farnham and Dolese Farnham, as well as many other loving family and friends.
