Billy Gene Fleet

DIANA: Graveside services for Billy Gene Fleet, 88, of Diana will be at 2:00 P.M., Friday, at Crim’s Chapel Cemetery in Rusk County, with Reverend Pat Stevens officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana. He passed away on Monday, February 20, 2017 in Longview.

Billy was born April 23, 1928 in Henderson, Texas to Ernest L. and Hetty Alma Fleet. He retired from Longview Asphalt where he was a foreman and was a member of First Baptist Church in Diana.

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law: Larry and Lisa Fleet of Linden and Randy and Penny Fleet of Longview, 5 grandchildren: Brandi Mathis & husband Russell, Michael Fleet, Colby Fleet, Zach Fleet and Jacey Fleet, great-grandchildren: Wren and Michaela Mathis, his sister Patsy Ann Cox, and special friends Elizabeth and Kennith Jordan.

Billy was preceded in death by his parents, and wife Margaret Ann Fleet.

The family will receive visitors on Thursday, February 23, 2017, 6-8 p.m. at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Diana.
