Billy Carroll Teague

Dr. Billy Carroll Teague, 82, of Gladewater, TX passed away Saturday, May 22, 2021 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was born August 8, 1938 in San Angelo, Texas to the late Joseph Teague and Lorene Kirby Teague.

Billy served in the United States Air Force and was immensely proud of his country. After his service, he entered the music industry and played for many well-known artists. He was ordained and through continued education became an instrument-rated pilot and obtained a Doctorate in Theology.

Billy founded and served as Sr. Pastor of New Life Fellowship Church from 1983 to present. He also founded Texas Institute of Biblical Studies and served as the lead instructor both in the prison system and our own community. Billy’s passions in life were his love for Christ, his family, flying and music.

Billy is survived by his wife, Jane Teague; sons, Ron Teague and wife Debbie; Billy Bruce Teague and wife Rhea Anne; brother, Mike Teague and wife Dian; grandchildren, Jeremy Teague, Jessica Teague, Samuel Teague and Elizabeth Sims; as well as many other loving family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Darcus Nell Teague; daughter, Connie Sims, brother, Charles Teague, and sisters, Betty Teague Green and Freddie Teague Mascheck.

Arrangements are under the direction of Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. A memorial service will be held to celebrate the life of Billy at the New Life Fellowship Church at 815 N Main in Gladewater on Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 3:00pm.
