Beverly Earle Davis passed away on March 1, 2024, at the age of 85. She was a proud resident of Gilmer, Texas. Beverly was born in Greenville, Texas, on October 5, 1938, and grew up as an only child, enjoying simple pleasures that brought her immense joy.
Throughout her life, Beverly found happiness in attending craft shows, showcasing her talents in crochet and knitting. She dedicated many years of her life as a crossing guard in Garland, Texas, where her warm presence and friendly demeanor made her a beloved member of the community.
Beverly had a spirited personality and never shied away from sharing her honest opinions with those around her. She had a playful sense of style with a love for unique hats and jewelry.
Being behind the wheel and exploring new places brought Beverly great joy throughout her life, and she cherished the moments spent driving and discovering new sights. She treasured spending time with her family and friends, always ready to engage in lively conversations and create lasting memories with her loved ones.
Beverly is survived by her devoted spouse, Harley Davis, her children Douglas Davis and wife Penny, Debra Davis and Steven Davis as well as 4 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. She leaves behind a legacy of love, warmth, and an unwavering spirit that will be forever cherished and remembered by all who knew her.
Beverly is preceded in death by her loving parents, Earl and Annie Azalea “Dade” Burnett.
A funeral service to celebrate Beverly's life will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 3 o'clock in the afternoon in the Chapel of Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer, Texas, with a visitation starting just prior at 2 o'clock. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. Family and friends are invited to join in honoring Beverly at the services, where her life and legacy will be celebrated.
