Beverly Ann Conaway Prater

Graveside services for Mrs. Beverly Ann Prater, 76, of Gilmer, Texas will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, July 15, 2017, at Crawford Cemetery in Slocum, Texas. Services are under the direction of Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer.
Mrs. Prater passed away on Tuesday, July 11, 2017, in Longview. She was born on September 25th, 1940 in Palestine, Texas, to Boyd Link and Erma Mabel Collier Conaway. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Jerry Lynn Prater; three brothers, Charles Conaway, Jay Conaway and James Conaway; and her sister, Jean Elizabeth Holcomb Smith.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Lynn and Peter Noldt of Houston; sons, Benny Prater and Kelwin Prater; and grandchildren, Katie Noldt, Michael Noldt and Kyler Prater; brothers, Walter Conaway and wife Jean, Gary Conway; and sisters, Janette Price, Janice Smith, and Mary Acker.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 14, 2017 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Grubbs-Loyd Funeral Home in Gilmer. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of East Texas at www.hospiceofeasttexas.org.
