HAWKINS " Bettye L. (Tyree) Fulbright passed away peacefully on February 21st after a brief illness. Bettye was born on March 11, 1932; in Gilmer, TX to Murle and Mertie Mae (McKinney) Tyree. She graduated from Sherman High School in 1950. She met her husband Tom Fulbright at East Texas State University. Tom and Bettye were married in Sherman, TX on January 27, 1951. Bettye worked at State Farm Insurance prior to following Tom in his career with Mobil Oil Corp. They moved many times, including Texas, Louisiana, Denver, Connecticut, Norway, Toronto and Calgary prior to retiring to Holly Lake Ranch, TX. She was a member of the Holly Tree Chapel Church at Holly Lake Ranch. She moved to Plano, TX in 2008 to be closer to her beloved daughter Karen. Bettye is survived by her daughter, Karen Fulbright of Plano; grandson, Jack Fulbright and wife, Mary Susan of Pensacola, FL; her sister, Murlene Jennings and husband, Jerry of Fort Worth, and sister-in-law, Nancy Morris of Newberry, SC. She was preceded in death by her husband Tom; her parents; and her cherished son, Barry. A graveside service will be held at Holly Tree Cemetery at Holly Lake Ranch on Friday, March 4, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. There will be a celebration of Bettye"s wonderful and generous spirit on March 19th at 2:00 p.m., at The Conservatory, 6401 Ohio Drive in Plano, TX 75024 with Reverend Bill Krieg officiating. Due to limited Parking, valet parking service will begin at 1:15 p.m. Visitation will be from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., Friday, March 4, 2016 at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Hawkins.
