Betty Ruth Wooddell

Celebration of Life services for Betty Ruth Wooddell, 71, of White Oak will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 21, 2019, at the Greggton Missionary Baptist Church in Longview. Mrs. Wooddell passed away Tuesday, September 10, 2019, in White Oak.

Betty was born on October 21, 1947, in Waynesboro, Tennessee to the late Robert Bray and Frankie Bryant Bray. Betty worked as a Nurse’s Aid for many years but the job that was most important to her was that of a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She never met a stranger and was a friend to everyone she met. Her pride and joy was her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Betty will not soon be forgotten by all the loving family and friends she leaves behind.

Betty is survived by her husband of 48 years Sam Wooddell; daughter Marty Chunn of White Oak; two sons Anthony Wooddell of White Oak and Michael Wooddell of Leonard; sister Tracy Scruggs of Gaffney, South Carolina; two brothers Robert Bray of Savannah, Tennessee and Michael Bray of Columbia, Tennessee; ten grandchildren; two great grandchildren as well as many other loving family and friends.
