Betty Gayle Bishop

Betty Bishop died Friday night, July 29, at the age of 74. She was born on July 30, 1942, in Flushing, New York. She was a Christian and a member of the Church of God, having accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior in 1961. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ingwald and Ann Johnson. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, George Bishop; two sons: David Bishop of Plano, Texas and Dr. Joe Bishop of Estangia, New Mexico; two daughters: Carolyn Dunnavant of Longview, Cheryl Allen of Gilmer; seven grandchildren: Anna and Maria Bishop, John and Carmen Dunnavant, Ashley, Amy and Alicia Allen; and a sister, Shirley Price of New Lenox Illinois. Visitation will be Monday, August 1, from 6 to 8 pm at Croley Funeral Home in Gladewater. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 2, 2016 at Gladewater Memorial Park Cemetery.
