Betty Florence Forrester

Funeral services for Betty Forrester, of Gilmer will be held 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at Gilmer Church of Christ in with Clint Owens, Sr. and Steve Hemphill officiating. Interment will follow at Gilmer City Cemetery under the direction of Croley Funeral Home. Mrs. Betty Forrester passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2015, in Gilmer. Mrs. Forrester was born on June 27, 1932, in Rodessa, La. to Y. O. Hagler and Alma Shaw Hagler. She was a school teacher for several schools in the East Texas area and a member of the Church of Christ. Mrs. Forrester is survived by her sons, John Forrester of Gilmer and Gene Forrester and his wife, Kim of The Woodlands; Daughter, Jan Hawbaker and husband, Kevin of Lindale; eight grandchildren, Eric Tevebaugh and wife, Sophia, Sarah McKinney and husband, Russell, Winston Forrester and wife, Julia, Ann Corinne Batram and husband, Florian, Claire Forrester and their mother, Linda Forrester, Elizabeth Forrester, Andy Forrester and Jacob Forrester; five great grandchildren, Evelyn Forrester, Roston McKinney, Ty, Alex and Cole Tevebaugh. The family will receive friends at Croley Funeral Home in Gilmer on Wednesday, July 15, 2015, 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
