Bessie McDonald

Services for Mrs. Bessie McDonald, 77, of Big Sandy will be held 2:00 P.M, Sunday, May 1, 2011, at Croley Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jim Wolstenholm officiating and burial to follow at Hoover cemetery. Mrs. McDonald passed away on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 in Tyler. She was born October 16, 1933, in Gilmer to Willie Caroll and Mary Lavuana Sadler Meeks. Mrs. McDonald was a homemaker and of the Nazarene faith. Mrs. McDonald is survived by her sons, John David McDonald of Idaho, Charles Edward McDonald of Gilmer; daughters, Charlotte Langford of Gilmer, Rebekah Gaston of Washington State, Sandra Jones of Gilmer and Deborah McClanahan of Longview; brother, Tommy Meeks of Gilmer; 15 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny McDonald in 1974 and her son Johnny McDonald. The family will receive friends on Saturday, 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
